Several of my relatives on my father's side of the family were talented musicians from West Texas. My Great Grandfather was a fiddle maker, and several others in the family were solid country/bluegrass and even rock n roll musicians.
Recently my Uncle Rufus's informed me that my Aunt Fern (Fisher) was a rockabilly singer many years ago and recorded at Sun Records in 1958 with Elvis Presley's band! That was the beginning of rock and roll and a historic time when Sun Records was THE happenin' place to be.
Fern recorded two songs there - "He's The Most" and "Tommy". I'm proud to say that there's a bit of rock n roll history in the family!
